DENVER – March 13, 2018 – Parry’s Pizzeria & Bar and Avery Brewing Co. invite you to join them for their seventh annual Big Ass Tap Takeover on Saturday, April 28th from 11:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. at participating Parry’s Pizza locations.
The celebrated event will be the largest tapping in one day in which seven Parry’s locations will be pouring as many as 45+ Avery beers ranging from your favorite staples, like White Rascal, to highly sought after and hard to find vintage brews like Tweak. Mix and mingle with the Avery crew, including Adam Avery himself, enjoy delicious eats, and enter a plethora of raffle prizes including a chance to win a VIP brewery tour at Avery Brewing Co.
“Parry’s Pizza is tapping 48 beers for this years tap takeover. We only have 30 beers on tap at our brewery, so we thank David Parry and the entire Parry’s Pizza team for allowing us to drink an additional 18 beers!” said Ryan Minior, Colorado sales manager at Avery Brewing Co. “They have been great partners over the years and we look forward to throwing the biggest and baddest event with them every April.”
The concept for this out-of-this-world takeover came about when the restaurant and bar opened its first beer-centric location in Highlands Ranch in January of 2012. Parry’s decided then to launch a key event for craft beer enthusiasts in the suburbs and beyond.
This year Parry’s Pizza seeks to build a tap list cultivated to each location with specialty beers that rarely leave the Avery Tap room, barrel-aged one-offs, and vintage kegs from Adam’s cellar.
Participating Parry’s Pizzeria & Bar are Castle Rock (5650 Allen Way), Greenwood Village (5970 S Holly Street), Highlands Ranch (9567 S University Blvd), Johnstown (4874 Thompson Pkwy), Longmont (1232 S. Hover Street), Northglenn (100 E. 120th Avenue), and Northlake (6851 Northlake Mall Dr. Charlotte, North Carolina).
“Avery has never held back and neither has Parry’s,” said Katie Nierling, beer buyer at Parry’s. “We will always feature the classics that helped build Avery into the brewery that it is today, but we also want to showcase that they are not slowing down—they’re still innovating and producing really great beers.”
