Denver Mac and Cheese Beerfest benefits charity

Denver Mac and cheese Beerfest

Like many great ideas, the Denver Mac and Cheese Beerfest was born from a barstool.

“We do our weekly group meetings at bars so it can spark ideas,” said Ryan Wieczorek, director of sales and marketing for Rockstar Beer Festivals. “Someone ordered mac and cheese when we were all drinking and we all thought, ‘What if we paired Mac and cheese with a beerfest?'”

The Denver Mac and Cheese Beerfest was born. It takes place from 7 to 10 pm. Saturday, Nov. 11 at Club Vinyl in Downtown Denver.

According to Wieczorek, there will be 10 different Mac and Cheese varieties available for purchase and 50 different craft beers, wines and spirits to sample. While the final brewery list is still to be determined, it looks like Colorado beers will be well represented.

Tickets are $35 for regular admission and $50 for VIP admission with includes early entrance and access to the VIP area. Tickets include unlimited 3 0z tastings and a souvenir glass. Fifty percent of the proceeds will go to Craft Gives Back.

“Craft gives Back is a way that we can start giving back money through different craft beer events,” Wieczorex, said. ” Our sole focus is to work to lift up the spirits and help out with children and adults suffering from depression, recent disease diagnosis, and recent physical impairments. Think about it like Make a Wish on a smaller scale.”

Bands will be playing live music all night. The current lineup is Nothing But 90’s, a 90’s tribute band, The Solid Ocean, a power pop band, and the DJ duo Bass Punks.
