Colorado brewers take home 28 World Beer Cup awards

World beer Cup awards

Colorado breweries received 28 World Beer Cup Awards at the awards ceremony May 2 in Nashville. The ceremony took place on the last evening of the Brewers Association Craft Brewers Conference.

Colorado took 9 gold medals, 7 silver medals and 12 bronze medals.

The World Beer Cup is often referred to as “The Olympics of Beer Competitions,” and is billed as the most prestigious beer competition in the world. This year judges evaluated 8,234 beers from 2,515 participating breweries.

The Brewers Association introduced the World Beer Cup competition in 1996 to celebrate the art and science of brewing by recognizing outstanding achievement.
