Celebrate Cinco de Mayo Colorado-style!

Cinco de mayo TshirtAre you going to celebrate Cinco de Mayo with a nice craft brew, or would you rather stick to the classic Mexican beers? Either way, Colorado breweries and restaurants have you covered.

Old Chicago's annual Cinco de Mayo Mini Beer Tour is back on tap with Mexican beer favorites like Dos Equis Special Lager, Corona Extra Lager, Tecate Lager, Pacifico Clara Lager, Dos Equis Amber Lager, Modelo Especial Pilsener and Negra Modelo Lager.

World Beer Tour cardholders who complete the eight-beer tour by May 5th get a T-shirt to commemorate the experience.

Maybe you'd rather make your own tour and hit up some of Colorado's microbreweries? The logical place to start is Denver's Del Norte Brewing, which has been brewing Mexican-style lagers since 2008.

New on the scene this year, is Vine Street Pub's Chupacabra, which was brewed to commemorate the Pub's third anniversary. The imperial Mexican pilsner is brewed with agave nectar and weighs in at a hefty 8.3 percent ABV.

If you can't make it down to Durango, the folks at Ska Brewing are bringing their canned Mexican Logger to your local liquor store.
